Launched in May 2019, the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL completed three years in the market in May 2022. As per Google’s software support policy, the May security patch is the last update for the phones. The devices are only eligible for three years of Android OS updates and security updates. However, as with past Pixel phones, the Pixel 3a duo will also get one last software update before fading into oblivion....
There is, however, at least one caveat to the new feature. Namely, it can’t be used with videos uploaded prior to the update. So only new content can take advantage of the update-expanded Remix feature on Instagram, not the old content that wasn’t shared to Reels. The change also only applies to public video content. Using Remix is straightforward, though. Users simply need to tap the three-dot context menu on any public video....

The June SMR (Security Maintenance Release) for the European Galaxy Z Flip units (model number SM-F700F) is rolling out with firmware version F700FXXU8GVF3. As Samsung mentioned in its monthly security bulletin earlier this month, the update will patch over 70 vulnerabilities. The majority of these flaws affected Android as a whole. But, some were exclusive to Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Google and Samsung labeled a handful of the issues to be of critical severity....
Spotify Blend has also gained a few nifty improvements over the past three months. Your Blend playlists will now feature cover art to help you identify them easily. You can now also compare your listening preferences with your friends’ to get taste match scores. These scores will tell you how similar or dissimilar your music taste is to that of your friend. Spotify will automatically generate these taste match scores each time you create a new Blend with a friend....
