The latest YouTube redesign begins with a splash of color up top. It uses “dynamic color sampling” to tint the screen space around the video player to match the video. The status bar above the video player and the area below it, where you find the video title, upload date, channel name, and more, get a gradient finish with ambient colors extracted from the video. Playlists also get the same ambient color treatment and now show more details....

Back then, YouTube also reported two billion monthly logged-in users on the platform. Since Shorts is part of the main YouTube app, not everyone visiting the platform is watching the short-form videos. However, this massive user base has helped it quickly rake in 1.5 billion Shorts viewers every month. In a press release, YouTube said its expansion in short videos has resulted in the rise of “multiformat creators” on its platform....

These are the new channels that were added to the Sports Plus package: beIN Sports, Billiards TV. Outside TV+, Players TV, PokerGO+, SportsGrid, Stadium College Sports, and VSiN. This brings the total number of channels included in this add-on to 14. Making it a bit more worth it at $11 per month. Though these are pretty niche sports networks, so it may not be for everyone. The bigger sports networks are still available in the regular YouTube TV package though....
